A Call to Action!

The mission of True Blue North Carolina is to develop grassroots multimedia campaigns – written, produced and distributed by teams of college students across the state – to educate North Carolina voters about the financial, social and political issues that directly impact their lives. When armed with the truth, and powered by knowledge, voters will make choices that strengthen our democracy and bring about a more prosperous North Carolina.

The youth vote is crucial to our cause. They, along with an emerging Hispanic and African-American voter base, carried North Carolina for Obama in 2008 and were pivotal to his re-election. Getting college students engaged, using their research, creativity, story telling, and media savvy, will ensure their participation now and into the future, and help us master the use of new and emerging medias that will shape the successful campaigns of tomorrow.

This effort will require energy, funds, a creative out-of-the-box approach, and time. We are locked in a battle for the future of our state that requires immediate action. We must fight to protect a government “of the people, by the people and for the people ” gifted to us by the framers of our constitution. The stakes are high and we have our work cut out for us. The midterm elections of 2014 are now less then two years away. The time to act is now!

Please consider making a donation. Together, we can inform and mobilize the voting electorate of North Carolina!  We will win back our state, and work to improve it for generations to come.

Thank you for joining us on the front lines!
